Questions people often ask.

Short answers to the things people commonly want to know before they make a first enquiry.

Who can contact CareWithJohn?

A person can enquire for themselves. A family member, unpaid carer or someone already supporting them can also make the first enquiry.

Do I need to know exactly what support I need?

No. Start with what has become difficult or what you would like to change. John can talk through the options.

Can support be regular?

Yes. Weekly and fortnightly arrangements can be discussed around the person, location and availability.

Can you provide community companionship?

Yes. Community support can include company at home, coffee, walks, shopping, appointments, activities, hobbies and other agreed outings.

Can home help be part of the support?

Yes. Practical household help and cleaning can be discussed separately or alongside wider support where appropriate.

Can SDS funding be used?

Where applicable, SDS-funded arrangements can be discussed. Eligibility, budgets and funding decisions are individual and should be confirmed through the relevant local process.

Do I have to commit after contacting you?

No. The first conversation is simply a chance to ask questions, explain the situation and see whether CareWithJohn is suitable.

What areas do you cover?

CareWithJohn works across Clackmannanshire and surrounding areas, including Alloa, Tullibody, Sauchie, Stirling, Falkirk and Perth & Kinross. Availability depends on the arrangement and location.
